The David Bowie Bauhaus Dress Poster: a tribute to the moment fashion, art, and music collided on stage.

In 1973, Japanese designer Kansai Yamamoto created a series of extraordinary stage costumes for David Bowie's Ziggy Stardust and Aladdin Sane tours. Geometric, theatrical, and unmistakably bold, these designs drew directly from the Bauhaus tradition of form and function as art, blending Japanese kabuki aesthetics with avant-garde Western design.

The result was something the world had never seen before on a stage. A dress that was also a sculpture. A costume that was also a statement. Something that made people stop, stare, and feel.

Part of our Bauhaus series: a collection of prints that celebrate the movement that changed how we see design. Designed in Berlin, the city where the Bauhaus spirit never really left.

For music lovers, design nerds, and anyone who appreciates when art crosses every line it's supposed to stay within.
